Welcome to Trinity’s Story, a heartfelt tribute to the vibrant life of Trinity Viola Ripley. Through her journey, we celebrate her spirit, her passions, and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her.

Early Beginnings

Trinity was born on February 10, 2005, at 2:40 p.m., weighing 6 pounds 7 ounces and measuring 21.5 inches long. From the very start, Trinity’s resilience shone brightly. Born with esophageal atresia, she was immediately moved to Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C., where she spent her first four months in the NICU. Her strength and courage during those early days were a testament to the free-spirited and carefree nature that defined her entire life.

A Passion for Music and Movement

Trinity’s love for the piano began when she was just six years old. The melodies she created were a reflection of her joyful and infectious spirit. Alongside her musical talents, Trinity also embraced the world of gymnastics. She adored cartwheels and fun flipping exercises, always eager to showcase her agility and zest for life.

A Love for Animals and Nature

One of Trinity’s cherished companions was her albino yellow corn snake, Mello Yello. Her affection for animals extended beyond her snake, as she delighted in the company of all creatures. Trinity’s connection with nature was evident in her carefree interactions and the joy she found in every living being around her.

Honesty and Heartfelt Connections

Trinity was known for her honesty, often expressing her thoughts in a blunt yet sincere manner. Her straightforwardness made her someone you could always count on to speak the truth, fostering deep and genuine connections with those around her. Trinity’s honesty was a cornerstone of her relationships, earning her the respect and admiration of friends and neighbors alike.

Community and Compassion

Trinity’s compassionate nature was evident in her everyday interactions. She worked at our local Roy Rogers restaurant, where her sweetness and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Customers and colleagues alike often complimented her warm demeanor and the genuine care she showed to others.

Joy in Simple Pleasures

Trinity found joy in the simplest of pleasures—playing board games, hanging out with friends, and, most of all, smiling and laughing. Her infectious laughter could brighten any room, and her smile was a beacon of positivity that inspired those around her. Whether strategizing over a board game or sharing a heartfelt conversation, Trinity’s presence was always a source of happiness and light.

A Lasting Legacy

Trinity’s free spirit and unwavering positivity continue to inspire us every day. She lived her life with a sense of purpose and joy that remains unmatched. Trinity passed away from a fentanyl overdose at 2 a.m. on December 13, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Her memory lives on through Trinity’s Children, Inc., an organization dedicated to empowering families and youth affected by substance abuse and overdose—a mission born from Trinity’s enduring spirit and the love we hold for her.

Our Logo’s Heartfelt Origin

Our logo is a heartfelt tribute to Trinity, inspired by her vibrant spirit captured in her October 2019 High School Freshman photo. Celebrating her favorite color, purple, and her beloved flannel shirt, our designer crafted a symbol that reflects Trinity’s love for all vivid colors and her enduring legacy of compassion and strength. The purple heart behind her gracefully transforms into angel wings, symbolizing her everlasting impact on countless families nationwide. With this logo, we honor Trinity’s memory and the meaningful mission of Trinity’s Children, Inc.

The Meaning Behind the Name

The name “Trinity’s Children” holds a special place in our hearts and reflects the vibrant spirit of Trinity herself. She had a unique way of bringing people together, often referring to her friends as her “children.” It was common to hear her call out, “Come along, children,” as they piled into her “Little Red Racecar,” ready for their next adventure. We chose this name not only to honor her loving and adventurous nature but also to symbolize the broader community we now serve. Today, “Trinity’s Children” represents those we help through our foundation—individuals and families supported by her legacy. We believe Trinity watches over them as a guardian angel, continuing to inspire hope and unity.

Join Us in Honoring Trinity

As we remember Trinity, we invite you to join us in continuing her legacy. Through Trinity’s Children, Inc., we strive to make a meaningful impact in our community, supporting those who face similar challenges and ensuring that Trinity’s spirit of hope and resilience lives on.
